Starting Clinical Pilates
You will undergo a full musculoskeletal assessment of posture, movement, flexibility and strength taking into account your medical history and personal objectives.
Based on your assessment your physiotherapist will devise an appropriate program including functional progression, closely supervised and monitored to ensure that expected outcomes are met.
Your assessment will be followed by a series of 30 minute private sessions. This allows for extra attention to detail and the learning of correct technique.
Extra effort and time spent increasing body awareness and accuracy at this stage will greatly enhance the effectiveness of your program.
SEMI PRIVATE PILATES
Upon your physios all clear you will be progressed to semi-private sessions of an hour's duration where you will continue with your program under the supervision of your physio.
After your first month, and then every 4 subsequent months, you will undergo periodic re-assessment to measure your progress and ensure that you are continuing to meet your goals.
This will involve a 1 on 1 session and assessment with your physio to discuss, evaluate and fine tune your treatment plan.
At Eric St we have a strong focus on active rehabilitation and our facility was purpose built to that end. We have nearly 100 square metres of spacious and naturally lighted studio to help maximise your recovery and wellbeing,
Our rehabilitation studio is fully equipped with top of the range Balanced Body Pilates equipment as well as the latest functional rehabilitation apparatus such as Core Aligns and Functional trainers. We have a comprehensive range of small apparatus and plenty of open floor space to allow people to really move.
We have well over 30 hours of Clinical Pilates sessions per week, as well as Mums and Bubs Pilates, Pregnancy Pilates, Falls Prevention and Pilates for dancers
Our sessions cover all scopes and levels of rehabilitation from early stage to final stage rehabilitation.
We also have group fitness and wellness classes (no health fund rebate available) for clients who are able to exercise without restrictions such as surf specific conditioning, functional training and yoga.
