Our Approach


We offer a comprehensive range of muskuloskeletal physiotherapy services such as manual therapy, dry needling, sports injury management and pre and post operative care.  We have specific services for Womens Health, a Balance and Falls prevention program, Exercise Based physiotherapy utilising  Pilates Equipment and Dance Physiotherapy. We also offer a variety of movement services that include Functional rehabilitation, Sport specific training and Yoga. 


Eric St Physiotherapy excels in it's approach to rehabilitation.  We believe that long term improvement comes from within, therefore our focus is on actively educating our clients and providing them with the necessary skills and feedback they require to progress. 

Patient Care model

Initial Assessment

Treatment at Eric St Physiotherapy begins with an initial assessment withh one of our physiotherapists.  In your initial assessment the physio will take the time to listen to your history, your goals and undertake and a thorough physical examination.  Based upon your current physical condition and personal objectives your physio will create a treatment plan and suggest the most appropriate services for you.  


Treatment can be broadly divided by the level of supervision you require and the amount or pain or physical limitation that you experience in the present moment. This will then determine the type of services that are available and suitable to you at your current phase of rehabilitation or functional state.

Follow up consultations:

Your treatment plan could include a mix of manual therapy, movement analysis and retraining and/or functional exercise to assist you in aquiring more efficient movement patterns.  Initially this might involve private sessions with your physio and, as you progress, you will be guided into the best service to suit your level.


Whether you want to improve your mobility to better enjoy your family or your golf or you want to improve your core strength for increased force generation in sport there is something that we can do for you.  Please contact our reception to know more.



As part of our professional obligation to you and your health funds we will need to ensure that our service is effective.  We will reassess you periodically to monitor your progress, ensuring that you are meeting or exceeding your goals and receiving the appropriate level of care.  Re-assessments are an invaluable tool to measure and track your progress, to refine your treatment plan and to maintain effective communication with your treating practitioner.


Our Facility

At Eric St  we have a strong focus on active rehabilitation and our facility was purpose built to that end.  We have nearly 100 square metres of spacious and naturally lighted studio to help maximise your recovery and wellbeing,


Our rehabilitation studio is fully equipped with top of the range Balanced Body Pilates equipment as well as the latest functional rehabilitation apparatus such as Core Aligns and Functional trainers.  We have a comprehensive range of small apparatus and plenty of open floor space to allow people to really move.

We have well over 30 hours of Exercise based therapy sessions per week, as well as Mums and Bubs, Post Natal classes, Falls Prevention and Pilates for dancers.


Our sessions cover all scopes and levels of rehabilitation from early stage to final stage rehabilitation.


We also have group fitness and wellness classes (no health fund rebate available) for clients who are able to exercise without restrictions such as surf specific conditioning, functional training, Feldenkrais and yoga.
