Postnatal Women's Health

 

Before returning to exercise, we strongly recommend, in addition to your GP or obstetrician's 6 week check, a postnatal women's health physiotherapy assessment.

 

Our physiotherapists can help and advise you with:

  • 6 week postnatal physiotherapy assessment

  • Safe and appropriate return to exercise

  • Abdominal muscle separation rehabilitation (rectus abdominal diastase)

  • Pelvic floor muscle rehabilitation

  • Mums n Bubs sessions

  • Inflammation therapy using laser and ultrasound for breastfeeding issues and swollen perinea

    • Mastitis

    • Blocked ducts

    • Damaged nipples

 Home Visits

 

In the first few weeks after having a baby, there is a lot to deal with and it can be difficult to leave the house.  To assist you in getting the care that you need, Eric St Physiotherapy offers home visits to Cottesloe and surrounding suburbs.

Our home visits can offer:

  • Musculoskeletal physiotherapy treatment for sore necks, shoulders and backs

  • Inflammation therapy (ultrasound and laser) for breastfeeding issues and swollen perinea

  • 6 week postnatal physiotherapy check

  • Movement and postural advice for mums
